Yesterdays Times had half page devoted to Poland floods. Also double spread on 'Secret Lives of Others' - Polish secret police. How many Poles read the British newspapers? Also the broadsheets - Times, Guardian, Telegraph & Independent?
How much coverage of the floods in Britain (a couple of years ago) was there in the Polish press? Also the obituaries of the Polish dignataries who died in the terrible aircrash - very serious and sympathetic articles in the Times and Sunday Times. You won't find this coverage in the tabloid press. Would the Polish press have again devoted much space to a similar disaster (God forbid) if it had happened here? Pozdrawiam

Dear Michal,

My boyfriend is in Rzeszów now, he's plannig to come home to Hungary on Friday morning by car and I really worry about him. I can only see terrible pictures about the flood but I can not find anything exact, what roads are closed, where he can come home (if he can at all). If you have any information about it, would you be so kind sending me a message? Thank you so much.

My boyfriend is currently visiting his mother in Tyczyn, just outside of Rzeszow. He reports that the rain is falling quite heavily still. His mama is lucky - her house is on a hill, but friends down the road - their cellar is flooded. I hope it ends soon fr all those affected!!
